OI OI ! have a laugh at these fools 791

.

They would have to be a lot more reliable first. I saw the bollard nearest St Annes square in Manchester skewer and wipe out a bus on its way to the bus station one Saturday afternoon in late August or early September causing traffic chaos. It got the bus right under the front section and heavy lifting gear was needed to sort out the resulting mess. Traffic chaos for public transport in Manchester resulted.

is there now going to be a flashing sign saying danger, the car in front is...

There were plenty of witnesses a Palestinean demo outside M&S was outnumbered 5:1 by policeman who were for the most part watching the recovery truck struggle to dislogde the knackered single decker bus. I was surprised it didn't make the local news.

I did attempt to post about it here at the time, but apparently posting via Google isn't entirely reliable.

Anyway I would prefer to see unmarked anti-tailgating cars on the roads with the punishment for getting too close to them being one round armour piercing to the engine block. Yesterday in foul weather I saw a line of 10 cars at 80mph in the outside lane of the A19 each less than 2 cars lengths apart.
