One More Try 4382Around 5-14-2005 8:48 PM, Nearly Normal Jimmy Time will tell... :) Close, but no cigar. Here's how the three lanes work: #1 - The left pbutting lane, for use when pbutting someone in #2. #2...

I know this might sound troll-ish, but I live in San Diego and I'm not sure how others view this.
Most of our freeways are 4+, some up to 16 lanes of through and HOV-HOT lanes. The problem I have is where do you stay if you're not really actively pbutting anyone, but you are pbutting trucks & really slow cars when they come up. I usually try to stay in 3-4, and move over to 2 if I have to pbutt, but I'm really not sure about this.
Honestly, at many interchanges in SD County it would be dangerous to yourself and merginng traffic, in addition to the large trucks already in 4 to stay in 4 all the time.
But where do you draw the limits? I try not to be in anyone's way, but occasionally in 3-4 or 4-5 I'll have some jackbutt on my butt honking their horn and flashing a left turn signal, but if i moved right I'd be decapitated by a semi and there's 2 or 3 lanes open to the left of me. Am I really that much of a needle, or should they just move one more lane left while I finish pbutting the truck at a speed my economy coupe is comfortable moving at?

A stock Honda economy coupe isn't something I want to be running at 80 mph, but I also don't want to do 56 mph behind a semi, so I hope you'll understand my situation.
