Over Half Of All baneities Occur On Rural Roads 4

Check your maps - the A543 from Llansannan to Denbigh used to have regular baneities. On one occasion I was driving down to Denbigh and approaching a sharp bend to the left, followed by a jiggle to the right. Just as I began to turn into it a little white van came hurtling around at me on my side of the road! I will always carry with me the image of that child of a driver staring idiotically back at me from behind his steering wheel - totally out of control with nowhere to go. In fact the sheer idiocy of it leaves me almost speechless even now. What happened next? He swerved to his left and then to his right (to stay on the road) and I looked in my mirror and saw the van go into a severe fishtail, overturn and roll into the ditch. As I was the only person around and without a mobile phone I decided to pull in to the next farmhouse and phone the police. Of course, maybe I should have done more, but to be honest I was so angry that all I could think was 'f*** him'. 'I've done my bit.' Rightly or wrongly, I just cannot, or will not, sympathise with such liquidateers.
