People who drive slow

Where are you travelling to & from? That route is one of the least pleasant on the Chase...

I regularly get flashed on the motorway for doing 60; tough cheese ladies, I'm not wasting my cash going faster when I'm not in a real rush.

There are of course extreme situations where you have to drive slowly, one of which you stated. But some people just are really really slow. For example, 40 on a motorway isn't particularly good, however if you're in the inside lane of a 3 lane motorway, I think that's fair enough. No point parping at an old dear just because she's going slow.

We're too obsessed with speeding. I've driven in many countries, and it just seems more relaxing in some of them. None of this scenario:

I went to see for myself. There are some of the advisory repeater signs which...

Guy speeds past you. You cruise past him, at the same speed as you've been going at the whole journey. He then decides to accelerate ridiculously fast up to a ton, then another 10 miles later, you meet again. Wastes fuel, unnecessary damage to the environment from the 'manly' driving.

Slow driving is usually done by people for a reason - usually old woman in a nissan micra in my experience. They *should* be retested, and have an explanation of why certain speeds are clbutted as 'acceptable' on certain roads, but currently we have no retest requirements. I dare say within a few years we'll have retest specifications - roads are getting pretty saturated with younger drivers.
