I was some time ago, at very low speed, by a young and attractive wench claiming it was her birthday in traffic.
Picture this... 473On Mon, 7 Aug 2006, PC Paul Wedell suggested you might be done for driving without due care - if you were...
Unfortunately for her the damage* meant I had to contact her insurance company and explain that it was her fault 'cos she drove into me and was talking on the 'phone.
*damage? Barely. A cracked number plate and a whole bunch of aggravation. Just not for me.
Mounting it, I'm sure it is. Operating it, that's something else.
Here's the rub. I suspect not given how little interest the police appear to have on the matter. :-(
Potentially... perhaps not directly.
Hmm. You'd need the date and time showing, which some cameras support - and a means
Now if you were able to rig up some rear parking sensors as a proximity switch then use a camera to record this , or maybe tailgaters, this could be more useful. Provide an OBD-II input for vehicle speed and you're all set. Oh and a date and time. Except, really, you'd want a front mounted camera to show that you weren't hogging the middle outside whatever lane.
Actually if you weren't bothered about recording the evidence, just get a cameras with a permanently on flash... :)
