Around here cops don't stop to help those obviously in need. I was driving down the main road in town last month adn tehre was a little old lady in her obviously stalled car in the middle of the road with her hazrd lights on and fumbling with a cell phone. A cop slowly drove around her, taking care to squeeze through the small gap between her and the parked cars. He kept on driving and didn't come back. I parked, stopped traffic and pushed her car to the side of the road and make sure she had someone on the way to help with her car. In the time I was with her the cop did not even come drive by again to see if she had gotten taken care of.
Cops also drive right on by people with their hood and trunk up on the side of the road when it's freezing cold and healing outside. After 7 cops drove by without stopping to see if I was alright or needed help (hood and trunk open with hazards on is a universal sign of needing butbreastance) I stopped counting them and just minded my own business fixing my car. It was not a big deal. New intake manifold had a hole for EGR which I do not use. That hole burned through the carb gasket and created a huge vacuum leak sucking unmetered exhaust into one side of my dual plan intake. So I wasn't gonna be going much of anywhere on onyl 4 cylinders. Thankfully I had my tools with me and after sitting in the cold and thinking for a while I realized I could cut up an altoid tin to block off the EGR hole and seal the vacuum leak. I still have that altoid tin on there to this day. lol
Investigators Blame Stupidity in Area restnewspaper.... you just don't see headlines like this: WHEATLEY, AR-Although reckless driving and minor driver impairment were cited as additional factors, police investigators ruled pure, unadulterated...
I was gonan get a better intake but I decided to go with a 460 and sell the 302 to a buddy of mine who wants it for his Mustang II.
HOV lane behaviorjust wondering what people's thoughts are on this.... in so. cal, the HOV lanes are restricted 24 hrs-day to 2+ occupants. exiting and entering the lanes are also...
Anyhow, I always find myself stopping to help people on the side of the road, but never has a cop ever asked if I needed help when I've been on the side of the road and never has a cop stopped to when I've been helping others on the side of the road.
