On the news this morning there was something about a drunk driver with no licience, or insurance etc. They had something along the lines of a 'road safety expert' on there. She said that we...

The article said the driver had already flagged down another bus or coach and had moved as many kids as they could take, but some remained. In the absence of any verge, they were still on the coach. Perhaps they were at the front, perhaps (as ever) they had migrated to the back. They would be thrown hard against the seat-back in front, regardless.

Your mention of a warning triangle raises two possibilites - either the road at that point is sufficiently straight that only a fool could fail to notice something the size of a coach, stationary with hazards flashing, or if there was a bend before, the triangle would have to be placed before the curve. How long before a numpty tipper driver simply ran over the triangle or failed to spot it (if it was off the road) ?

Anyway, you've always maintained tipper drivers are the worst, so why not give up defending this one. We're *all* supposed to be able to stop in the distance we can see to be clear, so no court in the land is going to buttign much blame to the coach driver.

-- Remember that you are special, just like everyone else.
