Yes, a yellow band under the sign above the exit, visible from a mile away under excellent conditions. No other advance notice. Another good reason to stay left is to stay out of the mad merging scrambles that result when the unaware try to merge out of, or into the exit lane(s) Now, many of them are new lanes that accept on-ramps, but the corresponding disappearance into an exit can be 1-2 miles down the road.
On my trip to work, I stay in the left two lanes, pbutting, or letting others pbutt, until I get out of the heavy on-off zone., (Too many stay left until the last 1-2 mile, then cut for the exit). On the way home, I stay right the whole distance, except for the disappearing lanes, mainly because it's just as fast, and also because I have the option of jumping off onto surface streets when the the traffic suddenly clogs to a stop.
On the open road, I stay right, except in the areas where the 18-wheelers have pounded the concrete slabs into a series of jump-ramps. Then, I stay in the smooth right lane, keeping the speed up, and an eye on the mirrors.
