RAF pilot grounded by driving ban

Well, there's a bit of both from what I've seen there recently. I've seen a couple of near misses where lack of gap wasn't a problem - the overtaker was desperately trying to go one space further, and the guy being pbutted had to brake hard to let him back in time. These didn't involve queuing traffic. Otoh there are plenty of morons who'd rather see someone end than leave any space. And plenty more who want to go slow and don't see why they should pull over as instructed by the signs!

When I got to the highlands a couple of weeks ago I was pulled in on rough ground by a cattle grid on a single track road, and overheard an exchange between two drivers. One had apparently finally managed to pbutt the other after 12 miles of trying. As he went past the slow guy in front gave a long blast on the horn, and they both pulled in by me. The feller who'd been overtaken, after being berated for not using the pbutting places to let him by, said 'there's no overtaking allowed in the mountains'! Where do these people come from? --
