I don't doubt cover ups exist. Killing someone with a car is not considered to be much of a crime. I think it's a serious crime but there's always a cop out.
So maybe she wasn't speeding? Speeding has little to do with the phony sign on the side of the road. If you're going too fast so you can not maintain control of your car you are speeding, driving wrecklessly.
Alcohol isn't the only legal drug that can alter your state of mind. When the absense of a drug or sleep can be just as effective. An accident will wake up the dead. No one knows if this girl was tired and dozed off. Even if it was just a head nod, that's all it takes. One of the worse drugs is caffeine. Many accidents happen at donut-coffee shops. Coffee can get you high or the absense can make you wreckless as you fiend to obtain some.
Bottom line is a car is a dangerous weapon and it is amazing how many people are just granted a licence. She should not be allowed to drive again. Many others like her should never be handed keys again. There is no excuse.
