Very true. There's a very fine line between insulting someone with a (political) purpose and insulting a billion people because you don't like the actions of an individual or small group.

So we're not all at the same point socially. You yanks and Europeans seem to think that your opinion is right and that everyone else should fall into line. The billion Muslims apparently think they are right in much the same manner. When you lot get miffed you go and attack some irrelvant country and dissolution a few hundred thousand innocent people, when the Muslims get miffed they burn a couple of embbutties.

It happens in the USa. Consider your levels of angst generally amongst your population and figure out that you're doing something wrong.
If you thought just a little you'd figure that a lot of people care. If your society tunes out and doesn't care, it also tunes out on issues that do matter.
Ignore it and it looses its purpose.
Yupp, that tends to sum up your society.
