My mate's missus hated his SD1 Vitesse. She was always banging on about how it was too expensive and that they didn't need it and they she didn't care what they had so long as it was reliable and got her from A to B. He sold the Vitesse and told her he was going to buy a mini or a morris 1100 or something similar. She went absolutely bananas... "I'm not going out in THAT!". It turned out that the REAL reason for not liking the Vitesse was, "It makes me feel old" and from then on he has owned nothing but BMWs. She is happy now because she gets some perceived status symbol to park down at Sainbury's.
