N8N ----- Oh.
I thought the argument was whether or not RLC's "*caused* rear-end collisions"... not what they are "about".
The entire premise is ridiculous... but I like it.
dimwit hits 'em, I say, great! Anything that ties up 2 dingleturds at once, I'm for.
I'm biased. I don't run lights and I don't slam on my brakes and I don't follow so closely that another driver slamming on their brakes is of any concern to me. I'm -never- in a hurry. If the light catches me, I couldn't care less. If it ain't that light it'll be the next one or another one down the road that does... or doesn't... because I got caught at the previous light. If I catch 'em -all-... I don't give a poo.
I look at RLC's just like cops. I don't look for 'em and couldn't care less if they're there because they're of no concern to me.
If a driver slams on their brakes noticing a RLC... who the f*** cares except other poor drivers? The brake-slammer-on-er is obviously a poor driver probably in the habit of breaking the law and always on the lookout to avoid being caught. The driver who slams into him is a poorly send driver following too closely and-or inattentive. The longer they're both off the road the better and safer driving is for me.
RLC's work for me, no matter how you look at 'em.
I don't give a poo how long the yellow is, if you're driving competently you won't be running any lights and you certainly won't be hit from behind. Practically nobody has the patience to drive behind a careful driver.
Blaming RLC's for collisons couldn't be more stupid. If a kid runs out in the road and you hit the car that slams on the brakes... are you going to blame the kid? If so, subsbreastute a deer. -----
