1: We don't know how fast he was actually going. A witness said it *looked* like he was doing 80.
Police estimate he was doing 70 mph and there were no skid marks.
2: The article didn't say anything about this being a schoolzone, AND another witness said: "You can't see the school from the street and there are kids everywhere. It is dangerous."
If it were actually a school zone, why would you have to need to see the school?
The guy was obviously going too fast for conditions - one of the conditions was that he was an incompetent driver.
