Another idiot screaming, "BUILD MORE REFINERIES!!!" In a few years when oil production starts dropping, what are those refineries going to "refine"??? HMMMMMM?????
The problem is not a lack of refineries. The problem is that oil is being collected about as fast as it is being used. Soon, oil will be used faster than it can be pumped out of the ground. More refineries will help that situation HOW, exactly?
If you are building toy cars and your tire supplier can barely supply you with enough tires to keep one toy car factory running, will it do any good to build a new toy car factory??? Now imagine that ALL tire suppliers are feeding your toy car factory tires as fast as they possibly can, and that the rate of tire production will soon start decreasing. HOW MANY NEW TOY CAR FACTORIES ARE YOU GOING TO BUILD?

Hurricanes could destroy half the existing oil refineries in the U.S. today, we'd still have a SURPLUS of oil refineries in a few years. But let's just throw trillions of dollars into building new oil refineries that will be useless before they even process one drop of oil. GREAT idea. -Dave
