Road Rage Incident! 237

Peter

And does it say to brake to make this happen? I'm pretty sure it means a gradual ease off to increase the distance between you and the car in front, so if they have any problems you have longer to stop yourself than usual to allow for the fact the bloke behind has not left himself enough room.

Flashing the brakes where there was no need to brake is a provocative action when the bloke was clearly already somewhat wound up, whether by you or because he had a row with his wife before he left home or whatever. Doesn't matter. He was in a temper and you provoked him.

Even if you just showed your brake lights, you provoked him. Again.

He was already showing all the signs of being wound up, y your own description.

Insurers 'ignoring speed penalties

You can't count on oither drivers being 'normal' any more than you can count on them seeing past the end of their bonnets. You have to work on the lower end of the scale...

You provoked him when you *knew* he was already in a temper. Do you torment dogs as well? It's exactly the same situation. Do it to a dog, you get bitten. Do it to a knobhead, you get road raged.

And no it isn't justified, but it *is* real life.
