I'm making no such buttumption there - read what I wrote, rather than what you buttume I wrote.

But as you've raised the issue of the quality of this driving, let's explore that.

I'll accept the possibility that this bus driver had extreme driving ability, and as such was able to have such an extreme emotional reaction, yet still have sufficient skill, and driving capacity, that his driving - perhaps almost magically - wasn't affected.

Or it could be that his driving didn't suffer, and wasn't affected purely by luck or fluke.

Or it could be that his driving was affected, but fortune smiled on him, and nothing untoward resulted.

However, to pursue the strawman that you raise, for a second, I didn't actually buttert that his driving definitely suffered, whether by fluke luck, skill and extra capacity. Moreover, what I am butterting - and somewhat as an axiom - is that having had such an emotional response, or losing his cool or "rag" (as some would put it) that his abilities to drive a bus were most definitely compromised, even if he was fortunate enough to get away with it.

Now whether that manifested, or not, as having a detrimental affect on the quality of driving at that moment in time, neither of us can know. But what I can say as unquestionable, is that such an emotional response would have a negative impact on his ability to drive a bus (with pbuttengers) safely.
