I'll take that as a "no", you don't know what it is then 1. Nobody has ever said that...

Just saw the first of a new series looking at road rage. Did any of you see the 63 year old sales rep have to brake hard when a car pulled out in front of him - just after he answered a phone call (hands free)?

A video playback of the incident was shown. The driver considered himself a great driver for braking in time. The video showed him to be a complete pillock who should get some extra training as soon as possible.

Give me a break! If there was a crash then the pillock in the parked car would get 100...

I have Sky+ so paused the playback. His first mistake was awful positioning. He stayed close to the kerb even though he was approaching a parked car ahead. A van had pbutted the car but hadn't pulled back in - he didn't ask himself why. He hadn't seen the shadow of the hidden car on the road as he got nearer. As the hidden parked car came into view, he did not react to the front wheels that were showing the steering to be on left lock. He did not react to this car at all until a collision was a split second away.

I would guess he would have still needed to emergency brake even if he hadn't taking the phone call - his positioning, observation and anticipation were that poor. The situation wasn't helped by the pillock in the parked car. They actually moved out at the same time they put the indicator on.
