Forgot to say, when they closed the PO they took away the postbox (It was built into in the wall of the erstwhile PO). They say they can't replace it with a postbox on the street because the volume of mail that used to go through the PO was such that it would fill up with mail between collections. So, now our office mail only gets posted twice per week and DHL get a load of consignements at CA. 12 quid that would have gone out as 1st clbutt letter packets for Ca 2 quid.

And that is the one. I was served by a Supervisor training an oik who said I had to go to the main PO in HFX. Total bullpoo, the one in Shelf would have been only minutes away with no difficulties parking.
This all begs the question as to why we are screwing around with getting the PO involved in administering VED and Sorns. They are are a (failing) private company FFS, too busy buttet stripping and renaging on their own core business of receiving and delivering mail.
The main PO in the Centre of Leeds in City Square (where I used to do most of my VED business) has also just been closed and the building sold off for apartments. I would imagine they got a pretty penny for that. A quick look on the web reveals they are
