Brimstone laid this down on his screen :

Ah, ah....

Well Tomtom is just one of the systems, there are others.

Imagine a little box a little bigger than a 20 pack of cigaretes, with a colour screen and voice-sound output. You just type in an address and away you go, following its directions. It always knows where you are within a few yards, which direction you are travelling and how fast. So if you make an error, it knows and can instantly recalculate its route. It takes into account one way streets and the differences in speed of the various types of road and can tell you roughly what time you will arrive, which is constantly updated.

Prior to every turn you get two or three spoken warnings and can glance at the screen to see the road-junction layout. As you drive along you can see the layout of the road beyond blind bends, see junctions, bridges, side roads and hairpin bends on the screen long before you have visual contact with them. If you are stuck behind an HGV, you can even spot a long straight coming up and be ready to overtake.

If you are hungry, low on fuel, or just need a bed for the night you have it search for these locally and have it guide you straight there without even stopping.
