A great many people speed, as evidenced by the number of convictions. We can probably multiply the number of people who do without being caught by a significant factor. The same applies to people who drink and drive, far more do it than get caught and most people only get caught because they've been involved in a traffic incident or they've made a mistake which if they were under the limit, would only have merited a chat with the copper who pulled them. As I'm sure you're aware, there's (potentially at least) a substantial difference between someone being over the limit and physically drunk, despite what the press print.
So no I don't have a problem with people exceeding arbitrary limits, just so long as they don't whinge about it when convicted.
When it comes to insurance, again it's only when the police get involved that those without get caught. If they're involved in a blameworthy incident and pay for the repairs to the other party who's lost?
Those who do these things and drive with total disregard for everyone else need to be locked up.
Steering wheel not straight Part... THE THIRDYes, it's time for me to pollute Usenet with this sorry tale. Here is the history. The car is a 2002 Seat Leon Cupra. 1. Purchased car from main dealer. Noticed that tracking etc...
Killing him or locking him up permanantly wil certainly stop him driving, but wouldn't you prefer to deal with him in the same way that you would want to be dealt with if you were suffering from a problem?
