Serious Motorway Accidents and Stopping to help

OK that's enough
I have just flipped this morning. Living in a rather quiet residential estate, which has a long winding road running through it, I am getting seriously peeed off with the driving on...

Yes... and no.

A few years back, I was on the M25 - when suddenly my side of the mo'way reservation.

f***ADOODLEDOO.

Before I knew what I was doing, I was out my car, over the central reservation, and heading towards a C-clbutt Merc. Something had tail- ended it VERY hard - the rear window was vertical, and there was nothing behind it. The driver was conscious but groggy. And there were flames under the back.

Somebody else reached it before me, and was trying to get the door open. It wouldn't.

Eventually, two people got the back door open, reclined his seat, pulled him out, and put him on the road a distance away.

Not disputing the legality. It's when given the choice between causing a traffic jam, and going a few hundred more metres up the road thereby NOT causing a traffic jam, she, just like many have...

By that point, the flames were bigger.

By the time plod arrived (and they weren't very long AT ALL) the whole of the back seat of the car was burning merrily. The back seat we'd got the guy out over. It didn't go "fwoosh". It just... burned cheerily. Then it spread to the front seat.

No, I didn't personally do anything - because there were others who'd beaten me to it. But if they hadn't have, I would have.

And if they-we hadn't, that bloke would be dead or badly burned.

Nobody from the side of the road the accident happened on was helping. They were all still sat in their cars, gawping. Everybody that had helped had come over the barrier.
