Well, the 240 has a pretty large reserve, even when the fuel gauge is down in the red section, and I only put in £15 worth for a trial. So it must have mixed perhaps 50-50 with Sainsbury's 97ron premium unleaded. the performance and smoothness was noticeable as soon as the old petrol was flushed through the lines and carb. It seems they say that the cleaning effect is progressive and takes a few tank fulls to reach optimum effect ( if you believe the hype...) so I would say it's not the cleaning effect as it happened so quickly. I'm on my first full tank of the stuff, I've reset the trip to see how the economy changes (if it does!) and if I have these much talked about cleaning effects to come then things can only get better... I'll let you know how it goes... I know it won't turn what is an old battletank of a car into a Nissan Skyline, but it's made driving the thing a whole lot nicer and it actually puts a smile on my face now. Not often said about 240 estates even with the 2.3 lump.
