It anymore
A tropper must never forget it is the public who pays for him and his services. He serves the public and is not to be 'above' them in any way. He is a part of the public and the community and is there to serve it.
I have hatred, but not prejudice. I do not judge a cop until I have heard him speak, or see his actions. Whenever I encounter a police officer (be it for any reason) I do not have a grudge against him. I treat him as I would anyone else, with respect and courtesy. That is, unless he shows me a good reason not to.
It is not okay for a police officer to have a hatred or prejudice against anyone in the public when he expresses it in his duties while on the job. I don't care waht he thinks or how he feels (while the U.S. is not free by any stretch of the word, freedom of thought still seems to exist here), so long as his actions on the job do not reflect any prejudices or hatred. That often times is not the case though, and those prejudices show through while on the job. It is not okay for anyone with the amount of apower as a police officer has to express any prejudices while on the job. Ideally all police officers should not be hate mongers and prejudice, that seems to be far from what the case is though.
Should this trooper be fired 4828I went off because your defense of a cop who put people's lives at risk is disgusting. You had already proven to me that you were incapable of...
There is no vicious cylcle that I personally perpetuate. As I explained previously, I treat everyone with courtesy and respect unless they give mea good reason otehrwise, regardless of waht I may think of whatever group an individual may be a part of. I hate police officers, that is to say the officer. The person behind the badge is most often not bad at all. It seems tob e that while on the job they let that power get the best of them and behave recklessly and totally inappropriately, not to mention bitterly and without logic, reason, or regard for the law.
