I don't know what this has to do with silver cars in particular, other than you probably notice them as they blend in so well . . .

HOW IN THE HELL ARE IMMIGRANT CHINESE GETTING DRIVER'S LICENSES
Go back and read my original posting, it states: She drove STRAIGHT THROUGH 3 FLASHING RED LIGHTS! And...

But I learned a long time ago that it's not safe to turn on your lights in bad weather daytime conditions. That's right, it's not safe . . .

Several years ago, I was on the local interstate blending with traffic, doing about 10 over. It was the middle of the day, but it was kind of foggy and rainy at the time. Visibility was definitely reduced, but it was still safe to drive faster than the speed limit, due to the speed limit being WAY under-posted, just like almost all roads are. I was in the middle of a long line of cars, several in front of me and several behind. All vehicles were doing the exact same speed, all about 10 over the limit. My car was picked out of the middle of the pack by a state trooper, who pulled me over and issued me a verbal warning for speeding. I was picked out of the pack as my car was the ONLY car with lights on. Otherwise, any of the vehicles ahead of me would have been easier targets. They were all speeding and otherwise driving in the exact same manner I was. The only difference is, they didn't have their lights on. My car was the MOST visible, so I was the one who got hbuttled by the cops.

Lesson learned . . . if I'm not in a state that mandates it, the lights stay OFF during the daytime. And if I ever own a car with DRL, I will disable them. It's not safe to have your lights on in bad weather during the daytime!!!! I'd rather risk someone else not seeing me than risk getting hbuttled by the cops for driving the exact same way everybody else is driving. For the same exact reason, I'd never own a red car. The human eye is naturally drawn to the color red. Thus, drivers of red cars get hbuttled by the cops more frequently, as cops are human. -Dave
