Nonsense.

A Boeing 737-300 consumes 68 plus 10gph at 500mph cruise speed and with 140 seats. buttuming that about 70% of seats are booked (the real percentage is higher for most airlines) you get 71 pbuttenger miles per gallon.

What's comparable to a Camry
Over the years, the Corolla has gotten bigger a couple of times in the wake of the expanding Camry. (There are a few of each, 1986 through the early aughties, in the...

In the typical SUV (~1.2 pbuttengers, 15mpg) you get less than 20 pbuttenger miles per gallon. And even your diesel doesn't even come close to the efficiency of a plain-jane 737 - not to mention the fact that you are crawling along at 60mph whereas the jet cruises at 500mph.

For the big iron the numbers look even better, especially considering that the 737 is a 40 year old plane whereas your car model came out only a few years ago.

Aack! Had a CT experience
I had an experience on this morning's commute that made me think of Carl, and the "out-of...

Btw, a more modern version of the 737, the 737-800 with 564gph at 600mph and 162 seats gets 120 pbuttenger miles per gallon, if you manage to sell all seats even 170 pbuttenger miles per gallon.

They push development because they want to save money.

I will give you a bit of advice: Read up on the subjects you post about before you post.
