Except where you're overtaking a longish stream of slower traffic, which might be the case in "reasonably dense traffic". But yes, in other situations that is true.
Yes, obviously - but not always easy in "reasonably dense traffic" - but clearly if you're in that lane, the intention is to get past (or turn R at the next set of lights .... etc.)
I mean, if you're about to pbutt a truck and it indicates, it's daft to jam on the brakes - but if it's a reasonable distance ahead, then it's sensible to ease off. Making a judgement of the proper action depending on which part of that spectrum you're on is called "driving" and isn't going to be answered in Usenet's breast-for-tat.
If the trucker was about to squish the OP's car (which was implied), then that's an emergency situation and I'm glad he came to no harm.
True, it's happening more and more - I usually chill out and put on some music - currently "King Arthur", music by Purcell, words by Dryden.
Many years ago I was late for a meeting (it can happen) with the "Big Boss" and I'm ashamed to admit, I drove like a maniac - cutting people up, jumping red lights, horn blowing - the works. I got there 10 minutes late and was told the meeting had been cancelled because the boss was stuck in traffic. I think I learned a little lesson that day.
Unfair parking fineI would suggest that you first contact the collection agency and the council and explain as above, before considering enriching the legal profession. A mistake might have been made. Legally...
Except when they're practising their buttertive driving :)
Well, I think you and I might inhabit different lanes.
My peeers-off include middle-lane-hoggers, non-signallers, unnecessary-fog-lamp-users and blokes who sit one foot off your tail because you're not prepared to overtake at 120mph or because you're behind the car in front who's behind the car in front who's ...
Truck drivers don't even figure.
Have a nice Easter.
