I was going just under 20mph, and well 5ft doesn't take the speed down much. Using new ford parts, it's going to cost 4 grand to fix my car. Of course this is dealer list... And I want new ford parts. I had parts I kept in like-new condition or new parts I had just put on the car 6 months ago destroyed.
At least the kids parents have been responsible about it. I should be getting a check from them soon.
This means 3 out of the 4 cars I've owned have been smashed by teenage drivers.
'73 maverick: 16 year old crosses center line driving a '79 mustang. Destroys' door skin, 1-4 panel and rear bumper.
'86 626: 17 year old cuts me off going slower than me and then slams on the brakes.
and this one was the '97 mustang.
I can't win.
My next new car is going to stay in the garage 99.9% of the time and some teenager will probable crash through the wall or something.
Or maybe I should buy that '02 911 sitting on the chevy dealer's used car lot. But the engine looks way too dirty on the bottom for the 13K miles it supposedly has on it.
