Oh heavens, this sounds like someone I know.
My uncle, whom I've seen twice in 40 years, many years ago married a woman who had a son by a previous marriage. My grandfather pbutted away recently, which prompted a visit to my parents from my uncle and aunt. While visiting, my uncle told me that his step-son, about 24 years of age, had his driver's license revoked. He was also concerned because they left his step-son at home, along with his mother's vehicle, and he was very concerned that his step-son may take the car out for a spin.
What a stupid truck driverSaw it all today. On a 4 lane divided road (2 lanes each way), lots of commercial businesses-restaurants on this stretch. Limit is 40. I'm in the...
Sure enough, my aunt got a call on her cell phone a couple of hours later, and she told my family they were going to have to cut their trip short. When pressed as to why, it seems her son had taken the truck out for a drive, which involved something called "Special-K" (evidently a tranquilizer used by vetenarians). During this, he rear-ended a vehicle stopped at a traffic light with sufficient force to push that vehicle into the vehicle in front of it. All occupants of the stopped vehicles were sent to the hospital, although only the occupants of the rear-stopped vehicle had any injuries serious enough to merit a stay at the hospital.
Other than the fact this idiot was driving unlicensed (and thus uninsured), the sad thing is this is the third time in a couple of years that he's total-lossed a family vehicle.
