ROFL....
A typical response of someone who's arguments are based on ... errr.... nothing. You might perhaps note that I only mentioned this when pressed about my own driving record and skills. Hardly being a "smug git".
You seem to have the genuine belief that:
1. If you consistently and regularly exceed the speed limits - you must be a safe driver.
2. Anyone who conforms to the legal speed limits must be a bad driver.
3. Anyone who recognises that his driving *may* have room for improvement and seeks to improve his own driving skills is a "smug git".
If someone is an inherently bad driver, the more miles that he-she drives doesn't improve his-her driving - it simply makes him-her a permanently bad driver - and makes it more difficult to get better.
OTOH, if you were man enough to recognise that your driving might not be as good as you claim, you'd sign up for a free driving buttessment through your local ROSPA AD group. Truth is, because your ego would take such a huge hit if you did that, you'd never have the balls to do so.
