Very well put. Incidents tend to be manufactured by the bad driving of the person doing the moaning. I drove from Welwyn Garden to Leamington Spa last weekend and saw a great example.
I was heading to the exit of a roundabout. The roundabout itself had four lanes and my exit had 2 lanes. I was in lane two watching the body language of the driver ahead. I got the impression the driver was not sure what lane to be in, so I increased the gap ahead by a few feet.
The car ahead accelerated into the exit, with its bonnet right on the dividing line when it braked and veered right to stay on the roundabout. I had accelerated slowly, expecting the change of direction. The car behind me buttumed we were all exiting and accelerated too fast, so it hit the brakes. This was followed by the next car locking up and sounding the horn.
Speed needn't be dangerous at all 1603What we seem to have had for some time now is a system that has attempted to take away drivers' freedom to use their own judgement. Despite this, some people will disregard some...
For the next hundred yards, the driver behind flashed its lights at me and made various hand geastures. An incident totally down to their own inability to anticipate, but will go down in their own mind as someone else being the wally.
