There is no automatic reckless in IL. It's a clbutt A misdemanor. Although much of the time it's just treated as normal speeding as far as I can tell, which is a grand total of two cases I saw with the same judge.

Depends on judge. $105 is the established fine for 20+ over as I recall. That's all the cops can collect at the roadside. Often judges don't fine as much in court. If you get traffic school it's going to cost you another 20 bucks or so.
I've had three cars damaged because teenagers who don't know how to drive out on the road, so I'm not particularly sympathetic. Furthermore... I bought my first new car with my own money when I was 25. My senior year in college I got to have the maverick that I had been taking care of since I was 14.
