Speedjunkies: selfimage vs. reality 2494

Nope. Normal human skills that anyone can achieve with a little concern.

Why you should never buy a car without a tachometer 2498
It does. Not in that engine (which is identical to my car's). IMHO, the Corvette engine acts just the way an Otto Cyle engine should act (see below). The key issue here...

Compared to clowns like yourself, but otherwise my awareness is the result of years of bicycle riding in traffic.

Nope. I just bothered to learn how to drive.

Nope. Like I stated before carl, I'll wager I follow the vehicle code closer to the letter of the law than you do. Hell, you're a speeder on interstates, so you don't even have that to buffer the other stuff I am sure you do.

Nope. I just don't put up with the BS from the MFFY drivers and keep right except to pbutt. If the majority of people didn't give in to them and kept right, behavior on the roads would be much better.

Why you should never buy a car without a tachometer
Over the years I've owned my current ride, I have observed that it is most fuel-efficient at 3500RPM, where 42MPG is easily attainable. I have also observed that, at 3000 RPM or less, the...

Nope. I live close to work to avoid morons like you carl as much as possible.

Amung other things. Sloth kills.

Who cares?

Carl, if you can find someone on chicago area interstate that doesn't exceed the posted limit ever and drives it regular, you'll have found the needle in the haystack.

Yes, I would THINK so, but that doesn't seem to be the case. My owner's manual...

My car is better than yours because I take care of it and replace worn out parts like struts and brakes with better than stock aftermarket parts. You on the other hand allow your vehicle to decay into a festering pile of poo that is unsafe at any speed, let alone the 70mph you drive.

Brent P Except that anyone who isn't a speed-junkie can't possibly have such skills and is...

My car is pushing 9 years old. It doesn't take much income to have one just like it.

I've been acused of being devoid of ego.

Nope.

None of the above. Never smoked or took any recreational drug.

Nope, quite the opposite. I don't even ride rollercoasters.

If I were I would have been end long ago while bicycling.

My risk buttessment is as if I have no protection what-so-ever. I drive like I ride.

Nope, that's you carl, blocking the pbutting lane.

Sounds like the conditions you cause for normal drivers.

No carl, it's called consideration of the people behind me so they can get through the light. You never think of anyone else but yourself. You're probably one of those sloths I find accelerate annoyingly slow when I am riding a bicycle. That's all I ask of people, accelerate faster than I can on a bicycle. It's amazing how many people can't manage something that simple with a motor vehicle.

Not at all. The brakes on my cars last a good long time. The only time I had brakes wear out fast is when the caliper slides stuck on my winter beater. A little bit of grease fixed that up.

Nope. Projecting carl?

Now that's you for sure carl. You have to be first, nobody can drive faster than you do.

You have a control freak nature where your concern takes the form of telling people what to do and actively blocking them from doing something that has no effect on you simply because you don't like it.

No, I despise a system which compromises liberty for government revenue in the name of 'safety' all while making for a more dangerous condition.
