correct. but buttuming the bloke did a proper job it's not impossible for the steering geometry and alignment to be 100% spot on and the steering wheel out by x degrees, is it ?
no, I took that approach when I knew the tracking on my car was 100% and I'd had the steering wheel off to fit a momo. I put the .. ok, it was a fiesta 950, I was 17 .. on the ramps at work* and rechecked the tracking as I couldn't get the bugger straight. I did eventually. as an aside, my brotherdoeshave 30+ years in the trade and is a qualified MOT tester**. I just ran it past him on one of the rare phone calls we have and he's with me on this one. *if* the alignmenthasbeen checked and the car is tracking straight *and* the customer didn't want to pay for a motoliner check,hewould just shift the steering wheel.
