Stop the Connecticut Cell Phone Ban

Russell Weller, Meet Peter Robbins
Yep, it's Russell Weller all over again, right down to the part where "no citations were issued." Whatsamatter, officers? Isn't there...

I was on a trip to Columbus, OH with a friend. We witnessed a couple of accidents that were preventable. At the I-264-I-71 split in Louisville two ladies, both on cell phones, collided and one went into the median and rolled. The other went into the ditch on the right and struck a culvert. Extensive damage to autos and, luckily, minor injuries to occupants. It seems that the gal in the left lane wanted to go right onto I-264 and the one in the right lane wanted to go to the left to I-71. Later that same day, dŽjˆ vu in Cincinnati at the I-71-I-75 split. Again two ladies collided while both were on cell phones. One into median and one managed to stay in emergency lane. Both vehicles remained upright. They both appeared to be 25-30 years old but they had the vocabulary of a seasoned truck driver. They very nearly came to a physical confrontation. The problem was not totally cell phones but when combined with excessive speed made for a bad situation. In both instances the posted limit was 55, most traffic was moving at 65-70 and these cell phone users were traveling at 80+ and pbutting all.
