I went for a drive to see if my newly fitted brakes worked or not as I figured there'd not be much traffic around - which there wasn't but all the Sunday drivers were getting in a bit of practice for their next day it seemed. Lot's of drivers doing 30-35mph in 40 zones (all on seperate occasions, and all with no other traffic around - except for me!!). Even with the next to no other traffic around they still did the old 'random braking'.
One car approached from behind me at about 55mph (40 zone, me doing 45!!!), all over the road, and often as little as a couple of feet behind - he got a couple of flashes of my brake lights, then I did no more for the next mile or so. No intention of overtaking me, just tailgating and swerving over the road. I eventually turned off and he gave me a blast of his horn. Yeah like I'm the one driving like a tosser?

I had a VERY close near miss last Thursday, A61 into Sheffield, travelling at 40mph (60 zone). A black Peugeot 206 that'd been waiting at a junction on the left up ahead to turn right onto this main road decided to do so when I'm literally 3 car lengths away from him. By some miracle I managed to swerve onto the opposite side of the road without hitting him or him going into me. Bit risky me doing the swerve as that was the side of the road he was heading for. But I was SO close to him when he began to pull out, unbelievable!!! I honestly think if I hadn't had swerved it would've been bane - for him-her. And lucky I wasn't in my own (mid-engined) car as that probably would've lost control being swerved so violently.
