And? Why should someone who lives way out in the back of beyond and has never been on a fast motorway standard DC let alone a motorway be allowed to use them?
Techniques for new drivers was: NIP Arrived 1034sounding much like they were saying : Let's get this back to where it was - You weren't talking about "not being allowed to use Motorways" - you were talking about not being allowed to pbutt...
I said the test should be a minimum of 1 hour on road. If it takes longer, it takes longer.
M23 is 30 minutes away, less if the traffic is particularly light. Much less sometimes ;-)
Not much longer.
Your point is?
Yes... and? So it's hard. Does that mean that we should do nothing? I am quite happy to go along with testing on a minimum of motorway standard DC, or are you going to complain that not everyone can reach those too. I'd even be happy with compulsory post test motorway tuition and testing. If people have to travel to be tested then so be it. People in central London would likely have to travel out of town to be tested on rural country lanes, so what? The point is that the test should cover ALL road types one way or another.
