I simply proposed a few ideas to raise the standards of driving on the roads. I am not attached to any of them in any particular way.

I do believe that people should be tested on motorways. They have their own rules and regulations and, in that repsect at least, are different to other roads. In terms of traffic it may well be sufficient to test on Motorway standard DCs.

So people have to travel to the test centre.

The test won't be a half-day. The test will be the same length, they will just have to travel to the test centre.

It is possible, it's just hard.

sounding much like they were saying : You want an hour of driving test. To include motorway, that means a maximum of twenty minutes...

And?

Why? It's achieveable. Just because something is hard, it is not a reason to do nothing.

Maybe you wouldn't. If the test was good enough, in theory you wouldn't need to test on all roads. So what do you think is required to make the test good enough to avoid the need to test on all roads? How about coming up with some suggestions instead of just putting stuff down.
