Yet strangely there's not a mbuttive rush of people wanting to put their homes on the market here. People just aren't interested in selling. You can hardly even find anywhere to rent.
There's a large percentage of people in my street that have been in the same house for decades. Certainly my next door neighbour has been in his nearly 40 years. THe man who lived in the house my sis-in-law is in had been there since he was born and only left to move to a retirement home. His parents had been in there since it was built.
You just can't grasp the concept can you? Low crime rate, nice area, no gangs of kids peeed up-drugged up wrecking the place, no graffiti everywhere - even on the playgrounds in the parks, good schools with excellent grades, bugger all traffic, affordable housing and plenty of disposable income because of it, high level of employment, people talk to each other and neighbours know each other.
Why the hell would you want to move?
Maybe we're just all stupid around here settling for quality of life over money.
