Thank God for cruise control... ... and a rant

Yet another use for cruise control: frustrating small town revenue patrols. I was rolling down 17 to J-ville for the game today when I entered one of the small towns (Woodbine, GA for the curious) that litter the road. I slowed to just under the SL (40MPH when you enter the town) still controling the speed manually untill I saw probablly the only cop in this town pull out and start to pace me, apparently waiting for me to exceed the limit for a revenue stop. Unfortunately for him, I simply slowed the car to 35 MPH (5 under the limit) and set the cruise control. He had to break off at the city limit and I went on my way, accelerating to 55 when I pbutted the appropriate sign.

of God are you people going to finish the bridge over the St. Marys River on 17??? You people have been working on that bridge for well over a flipping year (it was *supposed* to be finished last April, IIRC) and its *still* *closed* *to* *traffic!!!* That detour over to 95 is a pain in the butt already and that's before I factor in that *I hate Interstate 95
