Earlier this week I got the 7440A (amber) bulbs and Narva Range Power 50 H1 I ordered from him last week. I installed the headlamps last night.
I haven't tried out the amber bulbs, but only wanted some as emergency spares - especially for road trips. The OE bulbs on my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX do seem to look slightly "hazy". Perhaps its the amber coating degrading with use.
The Narva Range Power 50 bulbs are an improvement over the Philips long life bulbs. I had Osram Silverstar bulbs until I had a front end collision (both buttemblies replaced). The bulbs that come with the replacement light buttemblies are Philips LL. I had one heck of a time removing the left one in front of the battery. I gave up trying to get it out with the battery installed. I also had such a hard time getting the connector off that the filiment broke. I have plenty of used-new spares, so one less isn't a big deal.
The Narva packaging is really minimal - just a small cardboard box. The bulbs weren't marked "DOT" but the box is. Do I have to worry about this? We don't exactly have annual inspections in California.
