Mark Foster
As I reported above, according to an IAM Chief Observer I have now demonstrated an ability to drive at a standard that would probably ensure I could pbutt an IAM test, and this has been achieved without any formal training. It has been achieved merely by taking on board information from various sources and trying to apply it. There is more still to do, mainly in terms of applying the style with more consistency, but I can work at that and will need to do if I wish to go for the test.
That is quite correct, at least you've got that bit right Mark.
I'm not coming over all innocent at all. I have numerous faults which I never sought to conceal, but when all is reckoned up it is quite possible that I am at least as safe a driver as you are, though I expect you will see that as a quite outrageous proposition. Anyhow we'll never know the answer to that short of us each being properly buttessed over a reasonable period by a suitably competent person.
I do wish you could confine yourself to offering your views in a calm and rational manner instead of always seeking to demolish what others say. That will not convince anyone that you are superior - and it may have quite the reverse effect.
Finally, so far as driving is concerned if your atbreastude and approach to other roads users is anything like the style you adopt here, your driving performance itself may leave a good deal to be desired.
By all means let us discuss things in an even handed fashion, but if we can't do that you might as well go away again as far as I am concerned, as happened previously.
Best wishes all, Dave.
