The Photo Wall in A Speed Camera Van

Targeted individuals, registration numbers and photographs of drivers, cars and motorcyclists and certain other people have been stuck on the inside wall of a speed camera van. Following an investigation by members of the public into the speeding and dangerous driving of members of The Kent & Medway Safety Camera Partnership, an operator had earlier been warned by the Operations Manager Chris Rogers to abide by "the promise of performance" laid out at their inception. However, the local retired police officer involved, continued to operate outside guidelines. He was challenged by the members of the public in a seperate investigation and identified in a video which also gave a most revealing glimpse into the world inside his van. Registration numbers, photos and other information of desired targets have been recorded. Just how much these people were regular offenders who had been evading capture and how many were there as part of anyone's personal campaign is not clear at this stage. The evidence against the partnership continues to build. It is already known that they were significant in having a local broadcaster Adrian John removed from his job after he had caught a number of their own speed camera vans and then even their Chairman speeding. All this ironically after they had challenged him during an on-air radio debate to "police" them, in order to prove they were abiding by speeding laws!. Following his success, they arranged for the police to visit his home and threaten him with arrest but now Kent Police have unreservedly apologised for their actions. It is not known yet whether the broadcaster himself was being targeted by camera vans although one van did appear regularly outside his radio station even though the road was not stipulated as having speed cameras allocated and no warning signs were displayed. However Chris Rogers told the broadcaster that they had his photograph on their dartboard in their office. It is understood that a number of persons also being targeted and displayed in the van have been traced. The latest video findings are now being analysed by journalists as part of a countrywide investigation into the tactics of the camera partnerships who routinely ignore ACPO guidelines. The Broadcaster is a keen road safety supporter and advanced driver who maintains the motive for the cameras is money not safety and that the partnerships abuse their role and routinely speed themselves.
