Extremely revelant. I drive 5-10mph under the grossly underposted speed limits late on friday and saturday nights especially in areas I am less familiar with and anywhere I know cops hide running radar. The reason is that here in the USA, speed limits rise and fall on the same road at random. One could be driving along at a normal 50mph on a 40mph posted road, and with no change in the road at all the speed limit could suddenly drop to 30mph for no apparent reason.

If it isn't gone, I really should go and get a picture of something I saw a couple weeks ago. A 40mph speed limit sign (on a road where I have been rutinely tailgated while driving 40mph) with a 25mph work zone speed limit sign about 15 feet behind it.
