I told them that I thought the matter was settled at the point that the Traffic Officer allowed me to leave and had no intention of taking it any further.Ê I added that I was surprised at both the 'phone call and their visit to me.Ê I was then given the "relations with the public" spiel from Plods' Guide To Plodding" and how they had got it wrong and off they plodded - and she then called, from the gate, "'old on a mo' Mr X, forgot something" and comes back and gives me a (small) box of Quality Street chocolates* and wishes me "'appy Season's Greetings".Ê Filth then came back up the path and said, "No 'ard feelin's, right?"Ê I confirmed that I am happy to let the matter rest.
