Geezer Lets 7 Yr Old DriveWhen was the last time your seven year old child went off with an 88 year old man at the wheel of a car? Would you even allow your seven year...
And where did you glean this fact? And if it is true, why aren't you condemning the LC driver as a LLB? Either he was an LLB or he moved into the left lane as he approached the ramp.
No, I think she was wrong, but it appears the LC driver was equally guilty of dangerous driving. I actually saw this very sort of thing happen today. I was driving east on I-40. I just completed a pbutt of Lexus and moved back to the right lane. As we approached an on ramp, there was a mini van coming up the ramp. The Lexus dramatically sped up, pulled into the left lane and blocked me. His clear intention was to block the mini van as well. As it worked out, the mini van out ran me, so I had no problems. After the mini van had merged onto the highway, the Lexus sped up even more and actually paced along side the mini van in an attempt to trap him behind a slower moving vehicle they were catching (Everyone was out running me at this point). The mini van driver was not an idiot, so he just waited for the Lexus driver to pbutt the slower vehicle, which he did. The mini van then pbutted the slower traffic, moved back into the right lane and pbutted the Lexus as well. At this point the Lexus driver realized he was doing at least 80 (in a 65), and moved back to the right lane. Within a couple of miles, the formerly "slower traffic" and myself repbutted the Lexus (I never saw the mini van again). I see crap like this all the time. So when you try to make out like only the person at fault was the girl, I say "wait a minute." You don't have enough facts to say that the LC driver wasn't at least as guilty. I think it is certainly possible that he moved into the left lane and sped up in an attempt to block the girl. Clearly her reaction was wrong, but that doesn't mean that the LC driver was blameless.
So why not just relax, backoff, and let him go? I might be misunderstanding your posts, but it seems to me that you are one of the me first kind of drivers..
You are buttuming a root cause. I believe it is just as possible he was a LLB trying to cut her off.
What evidence? I read every reference cited and I never saw this claimed.
I disagree. I believe it is possible that he is LLBing. He sees the girl coming up the ramp and speeds up in an attempt to keep her from moving into the left lane. Initially the girl was outrunning him, but she did not realize he was moving to block her (or did realize it and wasn't willing to let him cut her off) and moved in front of him. Mayhem ensued.
I have no problem with someone flashing their lights to encourage a clear LLBer to move over. I have a lot of problem with drivers who tailgate and constantly flash their headlights to try and force a car that is clearly making a pbutt to speed up. This is clearly a case of the "Me first, f*&k you atbreastude" you were complaining about earlier.
Again I am not suggesting that anyone block the left lane. It is not my job to enforce the speed limit. On the other hand it is not your job to try and harbutt people driving in a safe, legal, and reasonable manner.
