As we all know, fuel is soooo much cheaper in Europe, with this year's 20% rise solely down to those duty rises that evil scum Labourite Gordon Brown hasn't imposed on the poor beleagured motorist.

The AA's own site says the following: Overseas prices - the UK again has the 5th highest Unleaded price in Europe. The Netherlands is now selling Unleaded at an average price of just over £1 a litre.
So, no duty rises in the UK since October 2003, a doubling of the price of crude in that time, and prices in Europe which did used to be much lower have seen rises higher than ours to be virtually the same. So clearly its thr government's fault.....
