You wouldn't admit error if God Himself came down and blazoned it on your forehead with a finger of fire, in reverse, so you could easily read it in the bathroom mirror.

Quite right, but quite wrong. That statute exists in a universe of other statutes, and must be read in conjunction with other statutes touching on the same subject, but with more specificity. You wish to read the statute in isolation because it suits your agenda. Unfortunately, there's this thing called "legislative scheme" that dictates how various statutes fit together and are interpreted.
We've been over this many times, and I'm not going to go around for another two months debunking your fallacious arguments. I refer you to the Usenet record for the cites, analysis and proofs.
