You'll get lost in Belgium on the way there and arround Dusseldorf on the way back. Signage is terrible!
Don't rely on the Yahoo Route Planner. Those things give you too much detail and confuse you.
Get a good map, and alongside the route given to you by Yahoo, write your own, more basic instructions, giving the road name and the city-town it's heading for. That way you have a visual route in your mind as well.
I used a route planner when I drove to Budapest. Took 36 hours from Manchester to Budapest Budapest to Manchester when using the route planning technique above: 17 hours
Right-hand drive car abroad: I've never had any problems, it's dead easy, easier than you think and quite nice as well, I like it. Just remember you're not as close to the kerb as you think to pull over to the right a little. Your pbuttenger will remind you of this when they leap onto your seat when driving past road islands!
I love driving across Europe. The MOT man let me off for a crack in my windscreen I achieved at 155 indicated mph on the Autobahn :)
