Dear Numpty,
Punctures happen, frequently when you least want them, like last night at about 6:00 pm on the southbound carraigeway about 1-4 mile north of the Eaglesham turnoff.
It was particularly unfortunate that it happened on this section of the road where it is still a four lane road with no central reservation or even a decent verge to pull off the road. The fact that the traffic was heavy and that it was dark was just another manifestation of "sod's law". The appalling accident record of this stretch of the road is just icing on the cake.
What I couldn't understand was why the F*CK you didn't drive your car *10 yards* forward into that gaping and inviting farm entrance where you could have safely changed you tyre and not endangered the lives of everyone using the road that night!!!
Of course my behaviour wasn't perfect either, I should either have stopped and helped him-kicked him up the bum-phoned the police or explained to him the error of his ways. Instead, I did nothing as, like everyone else on that road, I had other places to be and it's a bugger to stop, turn round and turn round again without endangering your own life on that road.
What would you have done?
